Is ArcCapture free?
Yes. The free plan includes 15 recordings per month at 720p, MP4 download, and a local library. Pro removes the monthly cap and adds 1080p and 1440p plus format exports for 12 USD per month or 96 USD per year.
Are my recordings uploaded to the cloud?
No. ArcCapture records and stores everything locally on your device. There is no forced cloud upload, and you do not need an account to record.
Can I record my webcam and audio too?
Yes. You can add your camera, your microphone, and system or tab audio, and toggle each source on or off before you record.
What video format do I get?
ArcCapture records in the browser native WebM format and downloads MP4 by default, the format that plays everywhere. The original WebM is available under Advanced. Pro adds MOV, and HEVC and AV1 where the device can encode them.
Which browsers does ArcCapture support?
ArcCapture works in Google Chrome 116 and newer, and in Chromium based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera.
Does the free plan add a watermark?
No. ArcCapture does not add a watermark to your recordings on the free plan.
How long can I record?
Recordings are limited by the free space on your device, since they are stored locally, not by a fixed server cap.
Do I need an account to use ArcCapture?
No account is needed to record. You only provide an email if you choose to upgrade to Pro, which is handled by the payment provider.
